CPFL operates in the electric energy sector in Brazil and has a solid history, since 1912, of contributing to the development of the cities and states it serves through solutions in generation, transmission, distribution, commercialization, and service provision.

In 2017, State Grid acquired a controlling stake in CPFL Energia, strengthening their growth strategy and leadership in the Brazilian electric sector. The cultural and technical exchange with the Chinese in recent years has enhanced the quality of services, increased the safety of operations, and accelerated innovation in the offering and delivery of energy to the customers.
